Howdy Friend!

Welcome to our website, the New Tactics hub where you can explore what we're all about. All service members, veterans, and first responders are welcome. (We are an adult-only organization).

OUR WHY

Our mission is to facilitate peer-to-peer engagement and team-building individuals in fostering personal well-being and cultivating inner strength through equine activities. Our organization is dedicated to fostering meaningful peer-to-peer engagement and facilitating team-building experiences among individuals. Through our carefully crafted equine activities, we aim to create opportunities for personal growth and well-being. By connecting with these majestic animals, participants can discover new strengths within themselves and cultivate inner resilience. Our mission extends beyond simple interaction; we strive to create a supportive environment where individuals can explore their potential and develop lasting connections with both their peers and the horses. Through these transformative experiences, we believe that each participant can emerge with a greater sense of self-awareness and a deeper appreciation for the power of equine-assisted activities in promoting holistic wellness.

***What to Expect***

Mindset and Intention

Horses reflect who you are in the moment, so each morning begins with the right mindset. Warriors start each session with quiet reflection, practice reframing long-held negative core beliefs, and set intentions for the day.

Safety, Grooming, and Preparation

After the safety brief, riders receive help haltering their assigned horse and leading it to the hitching post. With staff support, riders groom and tack their own horse.

Skill Building

New riders begin in the round pen, where they receive instruction in emotional regulation and basic riding skills. As confidence grows, riders move into the arena to practice those skills.

Obstacle Work and Reflection

Riders then work through a series of challenging obstacles that build balance, coordination, self-trust, and trust in the horses. Each session ends with a debrief and reflection on what the experience revealed. Riders then untack, groom, and treat the horses.
